Canada and Bosnia and Herzegovina drew 1-1 at BMO Field in the first men's World Cup match ever played on Canadian soil, and the point is itself history: Canada had lost all six of its previous World Cup matches across 1986 and 2022. Bosnia led through a first-half Lukic strike, and substitute Cyle Larin equalized in the 78th minute to rescue a point for a Canada side playing without the injured Alphonso Davies. Two of our three reads landed: the under 2.5 cashed (two goals) and both-teams-to-score hit, which we had flagged as the live alternative; our Canada-to-win lean missed against an organized Bosnia. Co-host USA won its opener 4-1 the same day.
